Ratsatory was named by his owner after an island off the coast of Southern Ireland called 'Tory'. The legend is that there are no rats on this island, so his owner decided to call him "Ratsatory"!! He was purchased at the age of eighteen months and raced for his owner until the age of five years . He was a specialist in all major open races around the country and we believe that he ran at almost every track in the country. His sire was the famous "Vintage Prince" and Robbie was the first dog ever, from this sire, to win a race.

Robbie's previous owner has loads of tales about how quirky he is. One famous one is that he went to stay with friends in Scotland just

before competing in the semi-final of the Scottish Derby. After having a few drinks in the local, the humans in the household subsequently discovered Robbie eating their fish and chip supper. Great preparation for a major open race!!

He can be very moody and the previous owner always knew whether or not he would run well in a race by his mood that morning. When his mood is good, it's very good. When his mood is not so good he will be very possessive of his bed, food and toys. This unpredictability means he cannot be homed and so he has become a sponsor dog for Monmore RGT.

Dexter was whelped on 10th July 1997. He lived as a pet in Ventor, Isle of Wight, where he was found in the house guarding his beloved owner after his sudden death.

He returned to the West Midlands in August 2005 with a relative who went over to Ventor to collect him. He was then handed over to the care of trust. During his routine Veterinary examination it was discovered that Dexter has inoperable cataracts in both eyes. He sees only a foggy shadow.

We decided the lovable old chappie should stay with us as a sponsor dog, to ensure his future well being is guaranteed.

Dexter loves a walk on a safe lead with a visitor as he cannot free gallop any more due to his restricted vision.

Please consider sponsoring his care.

Nick is a big black male who has been with us since February 2003. In fact he was the very first hound taken into the trust's care.

He is unsuitable to home as a a pet at the moment due to a recurring skin complaint linked to a medical condition. He needs medication and a watchful eye.

He was born in August 1998 and continues to be spoilt by his sponsors who visit him with treats and hugs.

He is the gentle giant of the sponsor dogs. Why don't you come to visit him at the kennels?
